Gators Basketball Finish Season #2 in State
The Gators basketball team finished their season against Purcell Marian at the State Championship game in Dayton on March 16, their first time playing in the finals in school history!
After an incredible season and an exciting lead-up to the finals, including a two-point edge over Fairland (Cleveland.com highlights) and a 53-52 win over Proctorville (Spectrum News highlights) in the State Semifinals, Laurel succumbed to Copley-Cincinnati Purcell Marian in the Division II Finals.
Following the Gators’ incredible season, Saniyah Hall '26 was named to the 1st team All Ohio in Division II. SBLive Sports highlighting an incredible performance by Saniyah in Laurel’s 53-32 Regional Finals win over Streetsboro. Tristan Williams '26 was named Honorable Mention All Ohio in Division II.
