Kindergarten-Grade 2 at the Lyman Campus

Each jumper-clad girl experiences so much joy in her learning in Kindergarten-Second Grade!
These foundational years are best served in our more traditional environment of the Lyman Campus. During these initial years of formal education, our girls investigate, experiment and discover through a personalized and enriched curriculum.

The time spent during these years is characterized by:

    • Enrichment led by immersive theme-based learning, specials, and the emerging academic drive to build skills and explore.
    • Personalization as we take girls from where they are and bring them to where they need to be while building relationships where each child is known and making social-emotional wellbeing a priority.
    • Empowerment through developing self-advocacy skills, resilience, independence and an emerging understanding of each girl’s role in her own learning and within a community of learners.
As each girl moves from Kindergarten through Second Grade, she builds on her preparation from the previous year and brings her academic skills and her confidence to new heights. Girls complete this first stage of Laurel’s Primary School as blossoming scientists, writers, mathematicians and artists who know they are an integral part of the larger community.
