Laurel Boasts 36 Scholastic Art & Writing Award Winners with a Total of 53 Awards

Laurel is proud to announce a total of 36 students in Grades 8-12 have received a total of 53 honors in the 2024 Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.

This year, we have 22 students who have received art honors, including nine Gold Key, 11 Silver Key awards, and 13 Honorable Mentions. Laurel also has 15 students who received writing awards, including five Gold Key awards, three Silver Key awards, and 13 Honorable Mentions. Award-winning work best exemplifies originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. Students receiving awards are celebrated within their communities through local exhibitions and ceremonies. Gold Key works are then judged nationally by an impressive panel of creative-industry experts to receive National Medals later this year. All of our award winners follow.
