In a June article, The Morning Journal states that “Amherst native Saniyah Hall’s stardom at Laurel becomes national sensation. Not only is the junior-to-be one of the best recruits in Ohio, Hall is the No. 4 nationally-ranked recruit on ESPN’s HoopszGurlz Recruiting Rankings – Super 60.”
The article highlights that as a Ninth Grader, Saniyah Hall '26 averaged 21 points per game, with 8.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 4.2 steals and 1.6 blocks. She won Division III Northeast Lakes District Player of the Year, Division III first-team All-Ohio and was a finalist for Ohio Ms. Basketball. The next year, she repeated the feat to score 25.5 points per game, with 11.1 rebounds, three assists, 3.4 steals and 1.1 blocks. However, Laurel’s progression into the playoffs went from the Division III regional final to the Division II state championship game.
“(Hall) is a great teammate,” said Laurel coach Terrina Robinson. “When she sees her teammates down, she is there to pick them up. She is very young for her grade. The scary part is that she should have been a freshman last year. She is not even 16 yet. She embraces the incoming freshmen and teaches them and wants everyone around her to be successful.”
