Gators Basketball Shines in Postseason

The Gators basketball team has shone in the postseason! The team took on Akron Buchtel at the Sectional Finals where they won 87-18. That win sent them to the District Semifinals on February 18 where the team beat Trinity High School 69-33.

On February 22 the Gators took on Elyria Catholic and walked away with the win! This took them to the Regional Semifinals on February 26 against Perry High School where they won 59-43. Laurel now advances to the Regional Finals on Saturday, March 1.

In addition to all the postseason excitement, Tristan Williams ‘25 hit 1000 career points in the Gators’ game against Green High School on February 10. Tristan was also named Northeast Lakes All District girls basketball player of the year and was named to the 1st team All District!

Nyla Edwards ‘27, Jordyn Meyer '27, and Olivia Schneider '26 also received an honorable mentions for Northeast Lakes All District girls basketball.
