Ella Witalec ‘25 Named Speech & Debate State Champion!

Kate Tracanna '24 finished as a quarterfinalist in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate, placing 5th in the state overall. Also in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Kaitlyn Ernst '24 finished as an octafinalist and was recognized as a four-time State Qualifier. Katie Izanec '25 placed 6th in the state in Informative Speaking. Ana Rubio-Calvillo '27 finished as a semifinalist in the Senate. Amazing work to all our competitors! The season is not quite over for Kaitlyn, Kate, and Ella who will all compete in June at the National Tournament in Des Moines! 

In addition to the student success, Rich Kawolics, our Lincoln-Douglas Debate Coach and former Head Coach was inducted into the Ohio Speech and Debate Association Hall of Fame.
