Candace Maiden

Interim Director of the Middle School
Co-Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
Candace Maiden is the Interim Director of the Middle School and Co-Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. She earned a B.A. from The Ohio State University, an M.A. in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, an M.A.T. from Liberty University, and a graduate certificate in Diversity and Equity in the Workplace from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.

Since joining Laurel, Ms. Maiden has served as the Learning Enhancement Coordinator for Kindergarten - Grade 8 for four years, Dean of the Upper School for two years, and is currently serving in the Middle School. She has had the unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive perspective of the K-Grade 12 program.

After three years of teaching at Laurel, Ms. Maiden received the Virginia Beidler Neff Award in 2020. In 2022, she was recognized as a Woman of Professional Excellence. She is also a proud mother of a Laurel student.
